Today we turn on the cultural mode to talk about one of the most magical places in Barcelona: “Palau de la Música Catalana” (Palace of Catalan Music). For music and architecture lovers is one of the must-sees of the city. Discover why.
The building is located in the heart of the city centre, so the people walking around there have to stop to contemplate the façade. The palace is a little bit hidden but attracts the attention of tourists and architecture lovers too.
If you think the façade is spectacular, wait a moment and look inside. The grand staircase covered with marble tiles welcomes the main room. This music corner is illuminated with daylight that colours, through the stained glasses, the entire building.
If you come to Barcelona with your children don’t hesitate to visit it. There is a large concerts’ family program to enjoy the music experience between fathers, mothers, children etc.
Apart from these concerts, there are music workshop programs for all ages, since new-borns to teenagers. And a specific visit oriented to families with children from 5 to 10 years old.
We don’t forget about music. Certainly there is a music concert room: the only one declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
On their website you can see the full program for this year. To highlight there is the Palau 100 Great Voices, but you can also go to flamenco concerts, rock, etc.
